About The Artist
Bucharest - based artist Cristina Ghite was born in a picturesque small town in Transylvania, a region famous for its medieval castles, fortified churches, charming villages hidden between enigmatic landscapes and the land of a legend – the infamous Count Dracula.
Ever since she could remember, Ghite had unlimited imagination and she loved to explore her surrounding world’s beauty, using painting, drawing, poetry and object creation as a way to bring to life her feelings, passions, and most curious thoughts about the universe.
Ghite was attracted and captivated by the diverse forms of expression available in Art and she decided to further develop her talent through artistic and aesthetic education. She enrolled in the local Art School, striving to build a strong foundation of basic skills, learning how to apply fundamental and advanced concepts to her work and expanding her ability to create multiple art forms.
Because she loves challenges, Ghite’s next step in her career was more then self expression: she positioned herself at the intersection of culture, technology and business, studying Industrial Design at Bucharest National University of Arts.
After graduating, she continued to bring into focus her vision of everyday life, founding Parada Design company, determined to enhance human existence through function and aesthetics in industrial and interior design projects.
No matter how much time has gone by, first love is always a profound experience. Ghite felt a strong call to return to her artistic career, using art as an external expression of her personal perceptions, spiritual experiences and beliefs. She hopes that her art can bring revelations and discoveries for others, making space for dialogue, exploration, search of meaning and freedom.
